Raised within a multicultural home and community, my earliest understanding of the world was shaped by contrasting languages, traditions, and perspectives coexisting in a way that felt both natural and expansive. This foundation fostered a lasting sensitivity to nuance and a deep appreciation for cultural richness.

My first memory of collecting goes back to a trip to Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, where I found a hand-made perfume bottle necklace, its turquoise hand-crafted details setting it apart, a piece I still wear and still get asked about. It marked the beginning of something that had, in truth, always been in me: a lifelong instinct to seek out and collect what is rare and considered. I have since traveled to over 25 countries, each one deepening my understanding of different cultures, ways of living, and expressions of beauty and design. These journeys became less about destinations and more about atmosphere, ritual, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. Over time, I felt a desire not only to experience these moments, but to carry them forward, bringing pieces of the world back home.

This curiosity evolved into a deeper interest in how people inhabit space, and in the objects that give it meaning. I am drawn to texture, form, and the subtle details that shape a room's identity, pieces that feel considered, storied, and personal. My career in television and film further sharpened this instinct. Years spent working closely with story, image, and detail taught me to recognize when something is made with intention, and when it isn't.

Jaleh Living was born from this sensibility, carried since that first trip to Istanbul. Each piece is sourced by working directly with artisans who hand-craft their work and a practice I hope to deepen over time, traveling to collaborate with them directly as the collections grow to reflect more parts of the world.

At its core, it is not simply about décor, but about atmosphere, memory, and meaning. A practice of creating homes that feel layered, intentional, and quietly expressive.
